My Latest Writing

Still He sits on The Throne

by Omar F. Medina

On the wings of an angel I travel
Beyond the limits of all boundries
Through the heavens we fly
Luminous cluds of nebulas and long dashes of distant stars
pass by me
Its breath taking the wonders of a large space above
It is God' handy work and it is all around me
I could never imagine these wonders from heaven
The tears of distant galaxies drip as blazing comets and their silver tails follow
Pink tails, Violet tails and Bright Silver tails
The comets splash in massive oceans of a marvelous creation!
If -with the spread of your arms these vast wonders were created how big are you Lord?
Our great architect of wonders!
A bright light before me shines
The rays of this light pulse through me and everything I am
the warmth of His Spirit engulfs me
Like the love of my mother, father and all that I adore a love like no other-
It is the love of my Lord
I am a witness to heavenly hosts praising The One Creator
Slightly behind Him I hover amazed, looking on
The ballads, among the galaxies, sound off and a massive display of lights are roused
An amazing display of lights!
God is praised!
There below him! Below his feet of bright gold is home!
A small blue planet where like the oceans of space he placed the oceans of water
Like the drafts of each burning star produce and feed light into the galaxies
He has also put oxygen, the breath of life, into our home
The host still sing- even among all the tragedies we men produce, they still sing
He still sits on that throne!
Among disbelief, doubt, and sensless deductions that some conclude denying His existence
He still sits on that marvelous throne!
I am a small man in this massive place his love and compassion are with the little ones!
Going home from the great trek and a lasting memory in this heart
I see my Creator in the little smile of my son, we are created in his image
A tragic news report on a the morning news...
thank you for watching over us Lord!
I understand and respect the fact that- still you sit sit on the throne

Snow is fun!

So Angel has never seen snow until recently. In Houston it never snows! The last snow fall we received in NM was a bummer because I had to report to work and by the time I got off it was to late to do anything. Not today! We built a huge snow man, Angel's first and we went sleding! Man, that so much fun! We toppled over a couple of times and Angel impressed me, he has a lot of heart. He said, "Daddy don't go with me I want to do it alone!". He did it- I swear that boy was going at least 25 MPH down that hill! No worries there was plenty of soft snow to cover the falls...

This is may favorite picture of the day! Angel and our little "rosie"...

What I want for X-Mas...

A long time ago in a city far, far away....I used to skate! I liked shredding rails, ollies etc. My favorite boards were from Tony Hawk and Bucky Lasek. I wish I had preserved my boards because now they're collectors' items. Conspiracy Skateboards has a cool line with Pusshead headlining the artist putting their mark on these sweet ass boards.

If I get them I will probably just have them line my home office wall along with all the other items I collect.

One other aspect of Albuquerque that I do like is the fact that they will have two major city skate parks (one of them on the way). I visited the one off of Lomas once and I got a bit discouraged because there were some children smoking (bud and tobbacco) cussing up a storm and all the wonderful things that go with rebellious children. It was not the greatest atmosphere for my kid! We had to leave early but I sure wish I had a board!
