So many new blessings...

Well life with my son is truly awsome!

(My son Angel and my nephew Ulysses fishing)

I am counting my blessings. We just recently received and inspection to defend the title of being the BEST DINNING FACILITY in the entire Air Force for 2005. We rocked! I was choosen to represent Kirtland as a traveler nominee for the coveted travelers award. The inspectors visited about eight bases and out every base acroos the globe they pick one person that shines above the rest to travel to Chicago and compete for the National Restaurant Association's Travelers Award 2006! I was so elated that I cried! Man, I was worrying about the situation with my son and the inspection it was just unbeleivable! So, Inkeeper 2005 (visited New York) Hennessy Traveler (will visit Chicago) life is great!

I also received my citizenship! This was another struggle that I finally came to a great end! After FOUR years, yes...FOUR years I was finally awarded this status. Even after being in Iraq I was still waiting- go figure. I mean it was partly my fault due to my lenghty juvenile criminal record but you know people do rehabilitate and risk their life at war- that is way more to ask for from any RESIDENT from any country! I got it so that's that, now my career takes a huge turn for the better for many new opportunities including re-enlistment. Yes, I will be re-enlisting because I LOVE THE US AIR FORCE!

In El Paso there was a news anchorer that went to my first High School (Gadsden). Erica Castillo would later speak at my graduation ceremony in Santa Theresa, Nm. Later. Ms. Erica Ruiz covered my citizenship story in Albuquerque and I was so excited! She is awesome!

Omar-
I linked here from La Queen Sucia's page and started to read some of your entries.
Congratulations on your citizenship! I'm a US citizen but my fiancé is a Mexican national that's been kind of hanging out here in Texas without papers. Oh oh! We're hoping to get married in the next couple of weeks to apply for his residency and I am a nervous wreck so I can imagine what you've gone through the last four years.
Congrats again!
